Our Logo

Our logo represent a double faced fantastic animal and we got it from a shield belonged to an Italian warrior lived in this area on the Iron Age. The original shield has a diameter of 24 cm. and it has been found between the Sangro Valley and the Marsica, up on the mountains chain where the pre-Romans Italians population used to live. Curiously the same name of Avezzano seems to derive from a double faced Godness "Jano", a divinity in charge of protect the beginning of the life, the roads and the beginnings of the solar year. When we had had to choose our logo, we really wanted something that linked us to our history and our land, and as soon as we discovered those combinations of double faced symbols we decided to get from the drawing on the shield the Hotel dei Marsi logo. We firmly believe that this shield and the divinity "Jano" bring Good Luck.
